Helia Hollmann currently is responsible for lectures in cryptography and the computer security teaching lab at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. Before becoming a professor she worked at the IT security consulting company secaron AG as specialist for IT-security and secure ecommerce. She began her career in the area of product security, security ICs and cryptography with the company Betaresearch GmbH. Helia Hollmann studied Mathematics and Physics at the LMU Munich and the ETH Zurich. For her research on gravitating magnetic monopoles she received the Ph.D. from the Max-Planck-Institute of Physics in Munich.
